The Rainbow Coin

Greetings Friend! Welcome to Eli’s Treasures. It is no accident that you have found us today.  In fact, we believe it is by Divine appointment! What does that mean?

It means that God has a message for YOU today.  And, that message is being delivered through the honor and memory of our beloved son Elijah, aka Eli.

You see, our son Eli left this Earth unexpectedly on April 26, 2019 and made his departure to Heaven at the very young age of 4. He was actually about a month and a half from turning 5. This is something we obviously never prepared for and thought could never happen.

However, we were not given a choice and have been left on this Earth to try and figure out how to move forward.  So, it has become our life mission to do our best in carrying out his legacy, while bringing glory to God.

That being said, let me explain what the Rainbow symbolizes on your Treasure and what the message is for you today.

As we all know, Rainbows come after the rain. But, do you know the first recorded Rainbow is in the Bible? Yes, God spoke to Noah in Genesis 9:13 and said, “I have set my bow (rainbow) in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.”

You see, a flood once destroyed the earth. And, when the rains finally subsided, God gave us the rainbow as a sign to represent His promise to never flood the earth again.

This is significant to me for many reasons. But, let me share with you a couple stories about the rain.  In 2018, we moved into a home with our very first pool! Eli was over the top excited and asked to go swimming just about every day.  On one particular day, we all got ready with our swimsuits on, sunblock applied and were ready to go! That was until we put our hand on the door to go outside and it started pouring down rain! Eli got so upset and started crying because we couldn’t go swimming. Well, my initial reaction was, “Eli there is nothing I can do about it!” But, as soon as I said that, I felt God speak to my heart and say, “Yes there is. I have given you dominion over this earth. And, you can stop the rain.”

So, I immediately said, Eli I’m sorry, I was wrong. There IS something we can do about it. We can pray and ask God to stop the rain. So, I led Eli in a prayer and he folded his little hands, closed his eyes and said, “Dear God, will you please stop the rain.”

As soon as he said rain, his eyes popped open and he said, “It’s still raining!”

I saw this as a teaching moment and said, “Eli, once you pray, you then must say. In other words, you must act as if your prayer has already come true and in gratitude say, Thank You God for stopping the rain.”

Eli folded his hands, closed his eyes and said, “Thank you God for stopping the rain.” THIS time, when he said rain, it immediately began tapering off and then very quickly stopped all together!! WOW! This was truly an amazing experience to watch a 4 year old go through.

I’ll share one more story about prayer, faith and gratitude regarding the rain. In this house, we also had a fireplace. And, Eli loved to have the fire lit! But, for those of us in Florida, we know that in the wintertime we don’t usually get a lot of cold weather. So, the times to light a fire are very few compared to the rest of the nation.  This particular winter in 2018, it was really warm.  But, I explained to Eli that when it rains in the winter, the weather will then turn cold the next day. Before I could say anymore, Eli walks outside, folds his hands, closes his eyes and prays, “Dear God, will you please make it rain, so it will be cold tomorrow?”

Would you believe that is rained ALL night and the next day was one of the, if not the coldest days of the year?! And, yet again, Eli’s prayer was answered and we certainly lit a fire that night!

Why do I tell you these stories and what do they have to do with you?

Because, I think God wants to use them to fuel your faith. If God will answer the prayers of a 4 year old child, so he can go swimming or light a fire, then what prayers is He just waiting to answer for you?

Perhaps you don’t understand how prayer works. And, that is normal.  I think prayer is oftentimes misunderstood by most people. They think, why do I need to ask God for something? Doesn’t he already know what I want? And, the answer is yes He does! However, what people need to understand is that when God created this Earth, he gave it over to man and gave him dominion over it. In other words, He relinguished full control. And, prayer is the bridge to bring God’s will to mankind. That’s worth repeating. Prayer is the bridge to bring God’s will to mankind.

And, scripture even says in James 4:2, that you don’t have what you want, because you don’t ask God for it.

I’ve also heard it said before that God responds to our faith, not necessarily our need. Think about it.  There are many needy people in the world today, but the one’s who move God’s hand are the ones who really Trust Him.

So, what is God asking you to activate your faith on today?

Please let us know! We would love to pray with you and for you!

And, maybe this is the first time anyone has ever talked to you about God. Maybe you never realized that God is real and that God actually cares for you. If this is where you find yourself today, then I have great news for you! God is real. He created you for greatness. And, best of all, He wants a relationship with you! Yes, that’s right! The Creator of this Universe, God Almighty wants to have a personal relationship with you.

But, this does not come automatic. There is a choice you must make. We live in a sinful world and that sin separates us from God. But, God made a way where there was no way to be reunited with Him. He sent his one and only son Jesus to this Earth over 2,000 years ago. And, He was crucified on a cross for your sins. Yes, He was made a sacrifice for you. And, 3 days later, He rose again and is alive now in Heaven!

You see, if you have never made Jesus The LORD of your life, then you are separated from God through sin. And, God loves you so much He gave His only begotten Son for you. Yes, that’s right. God sent His son Jesus to this Earth and he died on a cross and rose again 3 days later. Jesus was resurrected and is Alive! (Hence why we celebrate Easter. ;))

And, because he overcame death, you can do the same.

But, don’t take my word for it. Here are a couple scripture verses from the Bible to prove it! John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

So, all you must do is look back up to Him, reach out your hand and say,

“I trust You. Thank you for sending Jesus to become the perfect sacrifice and to bridge the divide between God and man. Come into my heart and become LORD of my life. And, please take my life and do something amazing with it.”

If you prayed this prayer, please let us know! We want to shout it from the rooftops! Praise Jesus! Another soul has gotten a ticket to Heaven!

And, we want to help make sure you somehow get connected to a faith filled group of believers near you. This won’t be a road you can walk alone. You need to be around likeminded people who will lift you up and help encourage on the right path.

Blessings,

Ciara aka Eli’s Mom
